Is This Goodbye

No words are spoken
choking back a tear
your hug is a token
of our relationship over the last year

i turn my back
and head for the door
i steal a glance
and feel unsure

i dont want to leave
my home is here
i dont want to grieve
i dont want you to dissapear

i promise you wont be forgotten
i wipe my tears
you always held my hand
and fought away my fears

you are my present
i will be your past
i fear my future
i pray this moment will last

one final goodbye
my best effort not to cry
but even though we are miles apart
you will always remain in my heart

They say home is where the heart is
I left my heart with you
I'm never really home
Unless I'm near you

dedicated to my girl friend sophie who i will miss greatly when i leave for 6 months in germany next year.
