I'm so confused

What is love?
I ask myself the question
I begin to wonder if I know
or if this is just another lesson

have I experienced love?
something I thought to treasure?
what if I never have or will?
this feeling of being alone forever

this is not another poem
this is not cliche
in my mind nothing makes sense
please come take this all away

my heart is gone
I'm so lost inside
everything is like a blur
fighting the tears to break, cry

I don't know the answer
but maybe after you I will
because I can't take it anymore
this empty void, it's never filled....
