Losing The Race

by Pauly D.   May 6, 2004

As the hands of fate
Cast long shadows over me.
You don't have the time to take
A chance to start over new.

When the pillars of doom
Crush these helpless hopes,
My constant feelings for you
Are pointless when not known.

When always behind a curtain,
With facts vaguely told.
Surprises always outright,
This game is getting old.

These used to be for real,
And I respected you cause you told it.
Now there's always pain
And there's not a time I don't feel it

Now I've got taste
Of what these feelings are,
I'm currently losing the race
And this person is leaving a scar.
