Wanting more

by silhouette fairy   Oct 16, 2007

Into your eyes i look
looking for thoughts feeling a soul
but they are dark cold and blank
wanting to know what might happen
but getting nothing your stare blank
worried i try to move away
close you come touching my hand
holding it close you give it a squeeze
i pull it away still not knowing
you press closer still
this time gripping my arms
holding me still you whisper
"you should never fear the unknown"
your eyes, a bit brighter
a smile flickers then gone
still unsure but now curious
i come closer
holding my shoulders you look in my eyes
"I'm sorry for frightening you, but you do the same to me"
releasing me i smile not knowing what to think
then looking in your eyes i finally see it
the soul so bright so cheerful
the thought of nervousness
the feeling of relief
relaxing we begin to talk
about nothing but about everything
slowly the day flows to night
you walk me home
on the door step you smile
leaning in closer whispering
"i had a great time"
you turn on your heels
waving goodbye
me on the doorstep
just wanting more
