Lonely girl

A lonely girl, a broken road, the little boy who stole her heart.

an innocent kiss on the forehead turned to passionate need for affection, he held her close as she embraced the love deprived from her grasp for oh so long.

Days were joyful, tears turned to laughter, and what once was Grey turned to the brightest of colors.

Never did she plan on falling in love nor new such a thing even existed, they just met, yet she felt as if she had known him all her life.

for once the rain had ceased to pour and a glimmer of hope began to reveal itself ever so slowly in the most beautiful of rainbows.

Rays of comfort fell down upon them, nothing could destroy the world they had created, one of peaceful serenity.

everything the girl had ever wanted was finally in her grasp, and so she held on tight almost as if he would disappear the moment she loosened her grip.

she knows she shouldn't give her heart away so freely, yet apart of her will not allow another wall.

Before she even realizes what she has done, he has the key to the chains around her heart.

Just as he earns her trust after all those years of pushing others away, just as she's ready to give him everything, reassure him that he's the one she wants to spend forever with.. he tells her they could never be.

for as fate would have it, there is indeed another who lives half way around the world that he has yet to let go...

Immediately familiar moisture replaces the smile that had managed to find its way into her eyes.

In an instant her heart feels as if it has been stabbed right through the center, shredded into a zillion pieces.

She writes him a note covered in invisible blood, he reads it and writes her back, all the things she has been feared the most written in one letter.

He loves her...but he also loves someone else.

She wonders why life is so cruel as she falls to the floor drowning softly in a sea of her own selfish sorrow.

He doesn't seem to care, even though he says he does, she knows he'd be there with her if he did, instead she keeps her phone close by just in case he calls...but of course time and time again she only faces disappointment.

And yet no-matter what he's done, her only plea remains to be in his gentle arms..

(This is the true story of the boy I long so badly to be with...he says he loves me but he also loves another and I know I'll never be good enough to be his...)
