Hold On

Hold On

When nothing goes right,
And all you can do is cry,
Keep pushing through,
Don’t give up the fight.
Tired and scared,
Angry and alone.
I want to reach out to you,
And fix what is wrong.
I’ll fight through mountains of pain,
Oceans and rain.

Nobody understands the pain that haunts you,
Not even me,
No matter how much I want to.

So just hold on,
When nothing is fine.
Just hold on,
To whatever you can find.
But you don’t have to look far,
For I’m always here.
Look around babe,
I’m so near.

I want to reach out to you,
But its like you’re drowning right in front of me.
I want to pull you out,
But you refuse to allow me.
Instead you let the water swallow you up,
And I watch you die slowly.
You tell me its not my fault,
But I’ll doubt that highly.

Hold on darling boy,
You can always die later.
Life’s too short,
To take it away from fate.
Your life is your choice to have,
Yes I agree.
But that doesn’t mean,
That I don’t need you to hold onto me.

If you go down darling boy,
I’m going down with you.
I was left behind once,
But this time I really need you.
