Growing up can be hard
Always on your highest guard
Every face you see is new
And you never act as the real you

Dangering your life everyday
I wonder what your mum would say
When she finds the weed under your bed
Or realizes the lies you've said

What will all your friends do
When they really knew you
No longer innocent, living a lie
Thats when you truly die

Trying so hard to get on top
And you will never stop
Weather you realize it or not
Your giving all you've got

Some people despise it
But you have to admit
These are the facts of life
