If I Could

by Corinne   Oct 21, 2007

If I could live
In bold relief
Where a yellow leaf
Touches cloudless blue sky
I would be content
For all eternity

If I could write
With colorful chalk
On the gray sidewalk
And hopscotch over years of regret
I would be as a child
Once more

If could be
The cool October breeze
That gently lifts your collar
And caresses your face
I would be
A lover of renown

Ah, if I only could

Regrets and wishes all empty dishes. Interesting and enjoyable lyrical flow with a dash of poignancy!
