I Need You

by BeautifulGirl   Oct 23, 2007

Walking down the aisle
Looking at your face
You caught her eye and smiled
Then she took her place.

This was your special day
When you and Mother married.
Then you never knew
The ends would start to fray.

Sometimes on the honeymoon
That's when I was born.
You said that week went by too soon.
Who'd have known you'd soon be torn.

You don't want to stay.
You don't want to go.
You hear what they say
Just go with the flow.

Don't listen to them
Listen to me
Don't break off the stem
Listen to my plea.

I need you to stay
I need you right here
Beside me, day and night
To take away my fear.

But you listen to your friends
You pack your bags and go.
I thought you'd be here, till the very end.
As we hug goodbye I don't let emotion show.

Now it's been a year
Since you up and left
There's something you need to hear.
I'm charging you for theft.

You stole away my heart
And took it far away
It broke in a million parts
When you decided not to stay.

You missed so much of me
As I'm growing up
I crashed the car into the tree
And I threw your favorite cup.

But the reason for this letter
Is to tell you that I miss you
I hope this makes it better.
And P.S.~~ I still need you.
