Silent plea

by SeCrEt WiSh   Oct 23, 2007

Lost and alone,
Helpless and afraid,
Loving arms, such warmth to bring.
Desperation as it stings the fragile heart as it breaks.
Tearful eyes, silent cries.
Hopeless dreams, a lonely star.
Her only refuge a place of pain.
His only peace to purge his gain.
She tells him to stop, screaming in vain.
He can not hear her, he never will.
She falls to the ground as sorrow wills.
A bleeding soul, a shattered life.
One more is stolen from her grasp.
A reaching hand, a trembling form.
Glassy eyes, a haunted look.
Moving forward was never easy.
Still she walks on.
A forced smile across her lips,
yet it fools those it must.
Something is missing, it always will be.
The spark in her eye, the sound of her laughter.
Faded away only to plaster.
Still she waits for his return.
Day by day, surviving every glare.
Until the moment he awakens her world once more.
