Burning Roses

by lostsoul13   Oct 24, 2007

As she lies on the bed,
The girl smells burning roses
She's dying and she knows she's too far gone now
Burning roses, burn bright,
Lighting up the pitch black night.

Her heart throbs in her bare chest,
Too late now
She's got to finish the rest
Strike a match and watch it glow
Burning roses, burn bright,
Lighting up the pitch black night.

Her time's coming now
As the girl's life hangs in the balance
Between life and death
She's taking her final breath
Her legs and arms are buried beneath burning roses
Burning roses, burn bright,
Lighting up the pitch black night.

As she lies lifeless on the bed,
There's no more smells of burning roses
She is dead
Ashes seep out of the light
Burning roses, burn bright,
Lighting up the pitch black night.
