It hurts like hell
When you give someone your all
And they just turn and walk away

When you have to stand alone
Feeling weak and hopeless
Confused and heartbroken everyday

It hurts like hell
To pretend you're fine
And to fake being strong

To stand by your choices
Refusing regret
When you know your decision was wrong

It hurts like hell
To know that it doesn't faze I you
That we're not together

And when you lied to me
Delivering broken promises
Of us lasting forever

It hurts like hell
To think of our past
And to reminice about you

To read the poems you wrote me
To look at the pictures we took
And everything we've been through

It hurts like hell
When I lay down to sleep
Because in my presence you do not dwell

And this pain stings
Burning a hole in my heart
Because the hurt feels like hell
