Painfully Beautiful

by browneyezz   Oct 28, 2007

Ruby red petals, soft to the touch.
There's always one flower that inspires so much.

It releases an intoxicating sweet fragrance of love,
enriched by the shimmering rain drops above.

Luscious petals show scarlet sins,
that extend from the outside instead of in.

Piercing thorns run up the stem,
And a soul of fire is stitched to each hem.

if you touch the thorns it'll sting,
beauty gaurded by a king.

Although beautiful to every eye,
You dare not touch, i tell no lies.

Painfully beautiful the rich ruby bleeds,
A lesson is learned so you should take heed.

Velvet red the color glows,
Forever love a rose will show.
