Wrath & Greed, Poverty's Seed

by KeyxMashingxParody   Oct 29, 2007

Wrath for a gold coin,
Spirit for a dime.
Give anything for anything,
Give anything for life?

Give up who you are,
Just to be the best.
The best in a lost world,
Flowing from a chest.

Covered in gold,
Corrupt politics wire.
The greed in their eyes,
Compared to Devil's fire.

The intensity of the thought,
The acts that pass us by.
Living cold and gold,
Living such a lie.

Following the hatred,
The remorse made anew.
Only rewarding the act,
Not what we went through.

How we got there,
How we made our way.
Faceless and hopeless,
Meets the end of days.

Greed fuels the hands,
The body's curse of spoil.
Wrapped in our greed,
Spiked gold coils.

Break free, thy wish not,
They want to be contained.
Lost in their poverty,
Of life they remained.

Give me more,
More silver and gold.
Life isn't forever,
Money never grows old.

Beautiful shine,
Let it all rust.
Gold cannot burn,
And turn to dust.

A human corpse,
Rotting away.
As gold chains surround it,
The greedy soul played.

Even in death,
A soul aches for it all.
Never realizing the greed,
Is what made the poor soul fall.
