High School Romance

Inside us all, we crave the same.
Those moments that we smile for no reason,
Filling up notebooks with someone's name,
And thinking about that person until we fall asleep.

We all crave to be held in someone's arms.
Or calling someone to talk when we have had a bad day.
We want to feel protected from all harm.
...we just want to be loved.

A High School Romance is different in many ways.
Too many complications are faced day to day.
No time, not ready, jerks just wanting to get laid,
Pregnancies, immaturity, and even lack of communication.

Although these problems exist everywhere,
It is harder on us at our age.
We need someone to love, and someone who cares.
We want to feel like we can do anything.

Love lets you feel that way..
It truly is a perpetual bliss that makes you act so stange.
We want to love, and for our love to stay..
throughout the years, and not just a High School Romance.

    Where there's no care, we wear and tear. Within burden relieved, Love speaks. Love is demonstrated kindness. We all need someone to lean on. There's always one out there, who cares. Though it takes some time, true Love lasts.

    This is really a great poem and the whole poem hangs together very well. I just love this one. It has the poetic flow and the consecutive rhymes are superb :)

    I love it, it is so real, and I can relate to it, and I have the idea that many others can relate to it too. the flow of your poem is good as well as the rhyming, my favorite stanza is the thirth stanza =D keeep up the good work 5.5
