My Dearest Brother

by Antithesis   Oct 31, 2007

My dearest Brother

You would soon learn to grow
From all the criticism hurled at you
And all the times people put you down
Regarded you as a fool

You would soon learn to retaliate
And stand up tall for yourself
With interest you'd return to them what's rightfully theirs
And throw back those mocking yells

You have a long road ahead of you
Roadblocks of unknown and doubts
But on and on you still must go
Aided with cells of distrust

For reality does not stop to ponder
About what impact it has on you
It is not a creature with emotions
Or an ounce of guilt in the absence of its soul

And hence go to battle you must
Against the world with sword and shield
You must get rid of your heart
Not a pinch of remorse must you feel

You have to march on to war
With no fear of death
And look back upon it as one well-fought
Without any regrets

Trust me you should for I once was you
I slaved for only myself
The whole world would turn out to be foe
Once you see them beneath the shell
