Dear Mommy

by Natalie   Nov 4, 2007

Dear Mommy,

You brought me into this world
You filled my sould with new life
You were more than just a mother
You were also a hard working wife

You raised me from an infant
You helped me up when I fell down
I can always count on you
I know you'll always be around

You provided everything I needed
You spoiled me rotten
You always came through
The old memories will never be forgotten

I couldn't ask for better
You're beautiful and you're smart
You smile when you are said
You never let yourself fall apart

I admire you to this day
I love you as you are
I missed you when you left
Even though you didn't move very far

I had to leave too
My soul was lost in the place
I understand better now
Now i know the real case

I always had questions
I always wondered why
Now I can see clearly
I understand you were living a lie

I'm proud that you are happy
You deserved better all along
I know it wasn't my fault
But you stuck around too long

People grow and they learn
I know it's ok to make a mistake
You did your best to keep it together
I'm sorry the ride was so fake

I didn't grow up in a loving household
I was not raised by my parents, but my mother
I'm proud of your actions
I'm delighted you took your turn to recover

I would do anything to see you happy
I love it when you smile
I'm thankful that wreck is over
It's not longer on file

Every night before I close my eyes
I pray for your happiness
I thank God that you are my mother
And I will never pray anything less

This is for your presence
It's for the stress you went through
I appreciate every bit
I appreaciate all that you do

I love you with all of my heart
My love will never stop
You're the best their is
My love for you reaches to the top

Love Always
Forget Never
Your daughter now
Youre daughter forever
