Daddy dearest

by Morticia   Nov 4, 2007

A girl does need a father
It is a common fact
But you my dear daddy
could not pull off the act

I didn't have you there
When I was very small
When mummy wouldn't cut it
you weren't there at all

You didn't help me tie my shoe
or teach me how to ride a bike
You always said 'I'm busy'
and that I didn't like.

Sometimes just a cuddle
Was all I'd ever need
If I had stubbed my toe
Or was to somehow bleed.

If you'd just contribute
Show me a little love
It would make redundant
All of the above.
