My Foundation

by Jamin Huchingson   Nov 5, 2007

I just want you to know
No matter how far apart we grow
You'll always be my girl
And in your hand, you hold
My heart, the foundation of my world

Still swear, to you can't nobody compare
Even hold radiance to your flare
The basis for my attraction
But you wanted to leave
Deduct from us like subtraction

Leaving just me, to face reality
Been here once and I'm back again
Oblivious to even distinguish how to begin
My heart is cold and hollow
Left alone when I was trained to follow

God knows I love her
But does he acknowledge
There will never be another
And if you never return I'll just let it burn

But just know
No matter how apart we grow
You'll always be my girl
The foundation of my world
You hold my heart
The basis of my oasis
