The Ghost In My Room Is Haunting Me

by Angstluver   Nov 6, 2007

There is a ghost waiting for me in my room.
He's always calm, says there's space.
But I can't relax when he's here, it's uncanny,
how he floats above me and watches me,
when he thinks I'm sleeping.

We like to talk the two of us.
Sometimes the conversations are very interesting,
like what dying feels like,
and what being a ghost feels like.
I have lots of questions for the ghost in my room.
but he never gives me a straight answer.

The ghost tickles my dog and she whines,
she can't see him, so it unnerves her,
to feel a ghost scratching at her ears.
She runs to me when he touches her,
and she huddles shivering in my arms.
The ghost just laughs.

The ghost in my room wears gloves,
and a soft-looking hat.
He has a bleeding hole in his chest,
that he never wants to talk about,
and gets angry if I press.
He tells me it's
none of my beezwax
and I say if he's haunting my room,
than he should answer.

But he doesn't, he just floats right through the wall.
He's never come back since.
He's haunting my sister's room now,
and won't answer, even when I ask nicely.
I wonder when he'll leave my sister,
and go haunt my father.
