Stranger in her own home (she = me)

by Brokenxx [aka Alex]   Nov 6, 2007

Once a place of belonging, warmth and security
Now one of isolation, abandonment and misery

Shes now only a walking reflection of the life she once knew
A lost soul trapped and nailed to the ground proves to be true

She stays out late just to avoid going 'home'
Shes made bad decisions and friends to avoid being alone

Anger, frustration and sadness have hardened her heart
But she will deny this, telling you her sorrow played no part

The one person she loves, she constantly fears will leave
And shes deduced to a weak mess overflowing with pleads

She will try to tell you how she feels when you ask whats wrong
But she cant seem to phrase her hurt and still appear strong

And now the one, the very cause of her pain, has decided to stay
This means theres no escape and she fears her sanity will pay

She feels hopeless in her prison, a stranger in her own home
Escape for her means running, so for now she just turns it into a poem
