What Happened?

What happened to the girl who said she'd always be my friend
because i want the girl who said she'll be here for me till the end
i have no idea what happened between you and i
i just wish things would've turned out differently so i didn't have to cry
i miss the girl who was funny and cool
but life has takin' us separate directions. it seems so cruel
i worry about you each and every day
and wish i could be there to help along the way
i hear about some of the stuff you do
i just hope when its all over you don't have the same regrets i do
even though we aren't as close as we used to be
