A goodbye for heaven

by Sean   Nov 9, 2007

Our silent tears begin to fall, as
our strength begins to fade with it all.
Our minds constantly racing, as
our hearts prepare for the moment we will be facing.

As the car pulls out, we
realise our heart is in for a rout.
Our hearts painfully pound, as
the footsteps hit the ground.

The light disintegrates to dark; without
a hope, without a spark.
Our eyes blinded with salty tears,
our hearts broke for many years.

As your laying to rest, our
family’s faith is put to the test.
As we say our final goodbyes; forgot
is the doubt and all the lies.

A smile is hard to teach, when
everything good is out of reach.

Our hearts cruelly broken, with
some words left unspoken.
He never got the chance to say what he wanted; except with this pen,
his heart breaking again, and again.

From a loving grandson and a friend,
this message to you, I will send.
With a love that will never die, and
a heart that will always cry.
