Heart of Pain

Do you ever think of me?
or the way things used to be?
how you held me tight when times got rough
you, always seeming so brave and so tough
Then you went and changed your mask
and believe me when i say it was no easy task
removing all the good from you
never being honest or true
hurting me more and more
until my heart finally tore
taking pieces of what used to be my heart
me needing them to make a fresh start
nedding to find myself again
to help me make amends
hoping you have seen what you have done
even though you say you have done none
youve caused a great deal of pain
praying one day i will gain
the heart you once tore
without one single tear to pour
Do you ever think of me?
Or the way things used to be?

    I can relate to this poem, as i'm sure many people can. It just sucks to feel that way. lol. I liked it though. The flow was good.

    I think you meant "needing" and "amends".
