I'm happy for you
I will wear a smile for you
I'll be strong for you
I'll tell you all the things
A friend should say
I'll do all of this for you
When really I want to cry
I want to throw something
And ask why
Why do I have to feel this way
About you?
Why do I have to care so much
Even though you don't feel the same
About me.
You found someone new
I'm happy for you
You say she's the one
That makes you smile
I used to be that person
I used to be the one on your mind
How easily I can be replaced
Why does love have to be so cruel?
Why do I have to hold on to the thought
That you might still feel the same way
I do for you
My mind says let go
But my heart still holds on to that hope
The hope that I can make you see
That I'm the one you need

    I can really relate to this, i felt the same about my first love. it's so hard to go through. but this poem showed pure and true emotion, and that's a beautiful thing. very expressive and the flow was great. i loved it. job well done. 5/5.
