Not Just A Soccer Coach

by Alexander   Nov 15, 2007

'Coach cant wait for practice.'
'Ya neither can i.'
'Maybe we should get there early.'
'To practice for the tournament?'
'Ya because this time were playing to win!'

Thats the last conversation we had
Because latter that day you passed away
The cancer finally brought you down
Even though you tried your hardest to fight it

I will say im sad now that your gone
But deep down inside i feel guilty
Because im also kinda happy
Because now your not in pain

The doctors were surprised how long you made it
But to tell the truth i wasn't
Because i knew you were a fighter
And wouldn't stop tell the very end

I'm proud to tell you we won the tournament
And when we got the trophy we dedicated it to you
Because you were...no are the heart of our team

At the funeral all the guys were trying to act tough
But suddenly the minister pulled a soccer ball out
And said that thats what keep him going for so long
At that moment all of the guys and me
Broke down and started to weep
