The coffee song (?)

by ~Amy~   Nov 22, 2007

I felt the decay
Like a fruit left too long on the tree
I called for a cure
But the antidote resided in me

I needed some time
Coffee at a local bistro to clear my mind
But the usual band
Played a song that hit too close to home
So I got my coffee to go...

I needed a plan
To break away from mediocrity
The future seems stale
When expired fortune cookies hold my destiny

I relentlessly fought
Until I hadn't the ambition to keep my fists up
But still I press on
Until I reach the bottom of my coffee cup
Sixteen ounces was never enough...

*** This is a song i wrote, and it's not finished, but let me know what ya think. thanks :)
