You haven't defeated me

A new day dawns,

my soul is uplifted,

From being with friends,

Who are truly God gifted,

Repairing the damage,

That was done by another,

It will take me some time,

and the love of a mother,

Today is a new day,

Let's see what it brings,

And view the world again,

For all its wonderful things,

I shall pick myself up,

from the darkened despair,

and admit to myself,

I don't like it down there,

Let me change then the view,

of the world that I see,

and get back those things,

that just made me, ME.

For no matter what happens,

or was done to me before,

I know someone out there,

will love me lots more,

So I take now this stand,

and say I'm not beaten,

I will not stay down,

and act like a creaton,

Hear me this day,

Oh world that I see,

I am comming back to life,

you have not defeated me!

    I like overwhelming positivity that runs wild through this piece.
    Written in a good way, whole poem holds intense emotions and I can relate to it.
    It rhymes and flows nicely from the beginning to the end.

    This was a great poem, 5*5
    i loved the imagery used towards the middle of the poem, such as:
    "I shall pick myself up,
    from the darkened despair,
    and admit to myself,
    I don't like it down there"
    there wasnt anything wrong that i could find, wonderful job.
