The fog

The sunshine has turned cloudy,

The rain is pouring down,

Unlike other rainy days,

This day I wear a frown.

My thoughts are all mangled,

Confusion rules this day,

For my future is uncertain,

My horizon is all gray,

A fog has rolled in,

And I can't find my way,

The only thing within my power,

Is to fold my hands and pray.

I shall continue along this path,

And guard my heart, less it breaks,

For the thoughts of the negative,

Have my body going into quakes.

So I'll muster all my courage,

And ride out the effects of this storm,

For if this ends up a tornado,

Then tomorrow I will mourn.

It would blow away my love,

And I hope it not so,

What will be my destiny,

I just really don't know
