Final Goodbye

A gun shot ,
Quick flash,
No pain in me was felt.

You awake with a start,
Wonder what was that,
Hear no other sound,
So you lay your head back down,
And slowly drift back to sleep.

Never knew this was gonna be my end,
Knew not the pain held within.
I suffered in silence,
Died alone.

Now it ' s a rainy autumn day,
As you put me in the ground.
Wondered why the happiness you thought I felt,
Couldn't remove my pain.

But what you don ' t know is ...
The person you knew was a lie,
A mask put up to shield you from my truth,
Knew you would never love me for me,
So hid it all with a smile.

But every smile you saw fake on me ,
A thousand tears were sure to follow,
But worry not for it is done.

Finishing tears,
Drowned in my lie ,
