Pre-Party Disaster.

by babblingxbrooke   Nov 25, 2007

Although she was going to be late,
she was ready to have fun.
to laugh, dance, and mingle,
just to enjoy time with everyone.

one last look in the mirror,
and to the party she would go.
she glided down the steps,
her fate she wouldn't know.

she yelled goodbye to her mother,
who rushed to give her a quick hug.
and gave her the usual speech,
"don't have sex, drink, or do drugs".

she walked out the door;
down the driveway;
turned the car on;
and sped away.

the thought of seeing everyone,
seemed like such an amazing time.
but the on-coming headlights,
made her blind.

turns out some people from that same party,
downed a few drinks and decided to take a joy ride.
not knowing they would take an innocent life,
because they were driving on the wrong side.

that night would surely be remembered,
for everyone was shocked.
her poor life was taken,
and no one can change back the clocks.

those teens made a wrong choice,
to go out for that ride.
for if they didn't,
that innocent girl, would still have been alive.

this is not a situation to be taken lightly,
it seems to happen more and more.
for people think they are fine,
but no one can be sure.

just one drink can put your life and anothers in danger,
so think of your choices and make them right.
because you could be the person,
to save anothers life.

this is a fictional story.
