Replaced Heart of Ice: Love is fictional

by Amy Jo   Nov 28, 2007

He said I know how you're feeling now
You just look at him and don't know how
he could know how you're feeling at all.

She's wondering how it's possible to feel this alone.
And wishing secretly that he hadn't gone.
Every night the stars will shine on and she'll wish.

It's sunny out but it feels like winter cold on her heart.
She counts down the days until she can again start,
to feel what love use to be.

She goes on empty wishing he felt this way
and he knows she takes it timely, half a day
but he doesn't know this feeling like she does.

Her heart was replaced with a sheet of ice
and someday he'll hopefully pay the price,
of ruining a beating hearts will to love.

You can't understand it until you feel it,
and believe me you'll know it, when it hits.
It's like drowning in shallow water.

Love surely cannot exist with such feeling
and hate can't live without love so there's no dealing.
She said I don't think I can breathe anymore.

He doesn't know what to say or do,
and she's broken hearted times two
as the days pass the heart fails more and more.

Not knowing what one is feeling is harder than living,
and he's love he isn't so into giving
anymore...

Everyday, walking with the cloud of black overhead
the strange will, pulling her out of her bed
what is her will, her will to live?

With him gone she keeps going for some reason,
is it strength or her trapped in a different prison?
You only become what you make yourself become.

She sometimes smiles towards the future of him,
but deep down her heart knows she doesn't need him.
He's gone, she's wrong. . . and love is fictional.
