Golden Schooner

by NightFlyer   Nov 29, 2007

A scintillating galley sails out into the forever gone,
One ship receding into the far horizon calling,
From the pink haze on ancient Ocean's edge,
It pulls my imagination like a glowing Atlantean temple,
Happy passengers merging into unknown limits,
To the halls of Poseidon, you've set sail,
Laughing celebrants enveloped in the black mists of the unknown ,
How I yearn to be on your golden schooner,
A brilliant sea floating glory now,
But soon, just another star in the Caribbean night sky.
