Bloody and Broken: A Tale of A Lost Lover

by Alex D   Dec 13, 2007

*Sonnet with my own rhyme scheme*

Empty hands on my outstretched lonely arms,
Reaching my pain and my forgotten heart,
Loneliness tends to ache and aches cause harm
Bloody and Broken, My skins ripped apart.
Burned here now, your face haunts my everything,
Face the facts, that when lives creep together
They fade away, One leaves, Causing the sting
Bloody, Broken, Life’s hold, holds no longer.
Bleed, Bleeding, Bloody, Bled, Alone I still lie
Wishes of death, Wished away, Wish I’d die
Breaking of skin, of soul, of light, of self
Keep myself, Take myself, Dead to myself.
I turn to my knife and plan the release
In the knife, I thank you, Gladly deceased.
