Be With Me

by Catastrophic Beauty   Dec 13, 2007

Walking along this weary road, trying to grab your hand,
Hoping that maybe you'd see, but you just can't understand.
Believe me when I say I love you, I mean everything I say,
I know you don't feel the same, but I still need you to stay.

Dreaming of being with you, making hearts in the sand,
I'm picturing us together, true love that will never end.
Such love like a fairy tale, to be endured for years to come,
It's all I'm longing for, the day you call me your only one.

I can't take the heartache, the agony from this rejection,
You hardly see the good in me, blinded by my imperfections.
Please just take me as I am, I promise I'll give you my all,
I will love and respect you, pick you up when you fall.

Take a deep look into my eyes, now tell me what you see,
Depression, insecureness, is that what you see in me?
Though you don't want me, I still hope my wish comes true,
That you'll wake up and realize, that I'm the one for you.

I love this. I freakin' love this. It's so different from your other poems. Plus, it's a love poem and I haven't read many love poems by you. :)
The entire poem was amazing. But the last two lines of the third stanza, you didn't use punctuation (sp?) like you did in the rest of the poem... So, you might want to fix that. Haha. I know I'm picky.
The emotions were strong, the flow was flawless, and the vocabulary was impeccable.

"Take a deep look into my eyes, now tell me what you see,
Depression, insecureness, is that what you see in me?"
^^ Love those lines. Beautiful job, m'dear. Overall: 5.5
