Love is cheap

by Sharon   Dec 14, 2007

If love was expensive and never cheap
If it was something meant to keep
Then it wouldn't be thrown around
And often trampeled on the ground
If words had meaning and there were no lies
No one would ever have to cry
From broken promises that they kept dear
Because of lies they loved to hear
If words like Love were never used
To trick someone, we'd never lose
The truth would be out on the table
No longer would we fear the fable
If only love meant what it should
And was only used in terms of good
then the world would be a better place
if only lies could be replaced.

Its very strange how people promise things in relationships that are impossible to deliver, yet we allow them to do such things knowing the promise is impossible to complete, ourselves.
