A Dancing Silhouette

by heather   Dec 17, 2007

Details of my past silhouette are still left in my memory
Stuck like an unforgotten dream
Are the tears of pain and their own mocking conspiracy

I endure the mental pictures un-willfully
Sleeping in a bed of answered questions
I lay awake forever cautiously

Im desperate to forget it all,
Anxious to make it stop
And forever restless to allow one more tear to fall

Stably anchored I still feel so weak and fragile
Dwelling in a vicious circle
That will never be completely filled

Seeking the next step I feel I'll search for eternity
A horrific burden I carry
That's made its home in my heart ever so dreadfully

A dancing silhouette I sing to so perfectly
Managing to cover the explicit details
It's my life I sing as a bitter-sweet melody
