Rabbit and Crow

by resisting reason   Dec 18, 2007

At the foot of my bed
There stands two shadows
One named rabbit
And one named crow
Two little children
A girl
And a boy
Each of them holding there favorite toy
Rabbit
With her baby doll
One eye out of the socket
Crow with his favorite toy rocket
They don't talk
They only stare straight into my eyes
But then I blink
And rabbit starts to cry
Its so loud
Its hurting my ears
But through the screams
I see no tears
Only blood
Streaming from her eyes and nose
Then I glance at crow
Hes laughing
Hysterically laughing
Then, out of nowhere
They just stop
And stare
Grin and glare
And just like that
They're gone
So I roll over and try to sleep
Until I hear breathing
So I open my eyes
And there they are
Eye to eye
Face to face
Shes crying
Hes laughing
And I don't know what to do
I try to move
But I cant
I close my eyes
And scream
"leave me alone"
But they don't go
Only back to the foot of my bed
Holding their two favorite toys
Rabbit and crow
A little girl
And a little boy
