Brokenhearted casualty

by Tina   Dec 18, 2007

I'm just another brokenhearted casualty
Another girl believing in love,
Trusting in your loyalty
Not knowing what you consist of.

Believing you wouldn't hurt me,
I gave you all my heart,
Wishing I could flee,
Because you tore me apart.

You gathered the remaining debris,
And tucked them all away,
Forgetting your guarantee,
To never run and stray.

For every time I see you,
My heart begins to race,
Knowing that we're through,
Wanting to forget your face.

Wishing I would've listened,
To all the warnings and stares,
A tear begins to glisten,
Wanting someone to care.

They scribble it down with grace,
This is where I belong,
Putting me in place,
Brokenhearted all along.
