The yellow light creeping through the window,
the sign of a new day,
yet somehow it is different, brighter.
slowly your eyes flutter open
revealing the vacant room.
a place only you occupy
suddenly the words hit you
"i love her"
you jump out of bed
racing through the morning activities
skipping the coffee,
it wouldn't help any ways
running down the streets
block after block
you reach her complex
knocking on the door
with the urgency of a fire
it opens slowly
revealing her calm cool blue eyes
she smiles, the smile you know you love.
and welcomes you in
with a rush of emotion
you lose all thought and take her into your arms
and softly with love, kiss her.
then with softly spoken words you tell her everything
she said the sun had never set on you
she still hoped for her wishes to come true
now after the sun rise of this morning they have
and both are happy and loved...
