Roses

Roses

A red rose, a pink Rose
A yellow, a white
Each symbolize something
Be it love or delight
Red for romantic, passion and craze
A pink one for sweetness
Those starry-eyed days
A yellow for family,
A gift so sincere
A white for a wedding
Love declared clear

A figment of beauty
Protected and true
Now which of these roses
Is true unto you?

The red or the pink
The yellow or white?
For which of these colours
Do you shine bold and bright?

Consider it all
Consider it none
But if this be so
There is one last one

The last is a black rose
For the broken of heart
By death or destruction
For love torn apart

Ask me the question I answer you this
I bare the black rose for someone I miss

Someone was taken –
Cruel hand dealt by fate
Now each day means nothing
Just one less day to wait

Please lay the black rose
Where my heart will be found,
Side by side with my lover
Lay to rest in the ground
