Life in general. [one of my best i think!!]

The silence starts to speak
when she begins to die
leaving behind all her friends
to whom she had to lie

she hated waking up
she thought she was overwieght
looking in the mirror was cruel
herself she began to hate

it didn't start there
i really must say
it started with sadness
she knew she wasn't okay

she wanted to be good enough
for everyone around
so she slipped into the shadows
and didn't make a sound

she got worse and worse
with each passing day
cutting her way through pain
she wished it would go away

skipping meals was perfection
perfection she would crave
playing all these little mind games
she soon became a slave

perfection was control
in her meek little eyes
faking a smile when she had to
covered all the lies

fighting back tears
she'd lost all control
but happiness wasn't an issue
she had to reach her goal

her goal was their happiness
for them to think she was great
she tried hard for them
but still she is who they'd hate

she felt all alone
wanting to die
sitting in her room,
this is where she'd cry

she didn't trust her parents
they always made her sad
no matter what she did
they were still mad

they went on with their lives
but she remained to same
hurt and broken
she didn't show her shame
