Forever Home

by brie kelly wise   Dec 24, 2007

We lie in ourselves night and day
Crying out through tears
Tearing down what was here to stay
The only thing that keeps up alive is fear
Movement dictates every living year
As our mind translates what our eyes take in
We falter over ourselves fixated in front of a mirror
As our hands clench our stomach before it's visible
But what we dug out is a permanent shelter
For our peace and serenity needed all alone
To escape our everyday helter
For eternity, it is safe to say, we are forever home
