For Every Lover

This poem is for all the lovers, broken and confused
Holding on to emptiness and dreams that have abused
Worthlessness, self disgust, and feelings that so shame
But sweet child, lover, dreamer, you are the last one to blame

Do not cry yourself to sleep craving what has gone
Your heart was handled badly by nothing you did wrong
Evil takes on many forms so do not feel contrite
So celebrate the freedom when you free your mind tonight

Your heart and soul is precious, so torturers must leave
You should let go of everything that wishes to deceive
I know this is not easy and not without sheer pain
But fallacious words and stories will drive you insane

Yet I promise you one thing, that somewhere there is too
A heart searching endlessly to find its way to you
Until that time, although its cruel, your heart you must keep
But please sweet child, lover, dreamer, don't cry yourself to sleep.
