A new year

by Lemonbread   Dec 26, 2007

Seasons change around the year
And brings forth love and hope
Yet brings fear, despair and hate
Leaving you holding on the rope

I was dumped on Christmas eve
And loved again on Halloween
Went to a funeral on Valentines
And a wedding on Friday 13

Days mean something different
For people of all shapes and sizes
The year brings forth the future
Full of all sorts of weird surprises

    Fave stanza:

"I was dumped on Christmas eve
    And loved again on Halloween
Went to a funeral on Valentines
And a wedding on Friday 13"
