I lost you

by CrossCut   Dec 26, 2007

The day was clear
And the skys where blue
There wasnt a storm cloud as far as the eye could see
But on this perfect day
I lost you

A storm played in my heart
Tearing up what used to be so strong
Rain fell and lightning stuck
My little heart dwindled down
To small to see or even feel

My eyes seemed to go blank
And draw away everything that mattered
Then everything goes black
Behind my eyelids I can see my pain
And it frightens me

I open my eyes and you are still here
Your chest rises and falls
But soon your breaths become shallow
They fall farther apart
Soon they become no more

Your eyelids close
And so did mine
I searched for you for a long long time
But you were gone
I had lost you

I saw your soul free and content
And when I opened my eyes
and looked around, the spring still ran
The wind still blew
Everything was the same
Except for I was without you.

    That was absolutly beautiful!
You achieved the making of tensing atmospheres.
