Father Winter

by Cherise   Dec 26, 2007

Winter calls for me to weep,
for i had no courage left
then, at last, we meet,

sweet summer gave me kisses,
but left me in a brutal tear,
it gave me the realization,
that there was something else there.

But now those days have drifted,
to the other side of the earth,
now other can seek my testimony
and truly see what i was worth.

Winter, take me in your grasp,
for i knew all a long,
that it was never meant to last,
all the sunny days are gone.
Summer may never kiss me again.
Only 2 months then "so long"!

So many have drowned,
buried their heads in the ground,
and took what they were away,
Now, they are someone else,
left there common sense on a shelf
and let their saints take them away.

i swear, i see the bombers,
dropping tears down on me,
you sent them to make me weep,
thus i will rebel,
and I'll look up..
to smile at thee.
