We Push The Cart Together

by Soulful Ensemble   Dec 28, 2007

Close your eyes and think of misty meadows,
Until you're slapped back into conciousness.
What did you see for that quick second,
When you were covered in blindness?

Settle your mind into a peaceful stare,
What kind of rage is in you?
There are fallen angels everywhere,
And you have no time to feel blue.

And take the mask right off your face, now!
Don't you see?-- You have no time to waste!
There's no place to ask "how?"
So move ahead with haste.

My little heart is aching,
My conscience, now, is breaking.
I saw a priest with fiery eyes,
He looked at me and said goodbye.
I knew, then, it was all over,
If I couldn't have my lover.

Looking at her eyes I see
The vast oceans shinning free.
And her hair is golden, see?
Fluttering there in the breeze.

There's nothing else I'll ever need,
She knows about the love she feeds.
And every time I ask and plea,
Her heart is always there for me.

"Put a little more love in your heart,"
Her eyes say to me.
Our hands, together, push the cart,
And I say, "let it be."
