Firefly

by No Need For A Name   Dec 31, 2007

So I sit here
Under the empty sky
Waiting to hear
The rain from the sky
Worrying that
They'll drown your wings
But it's just a fact
That they're still fluttering

You reach me higher
And we shall rejoice
But truth is I will do anything
I will do anything to hear your voice

My little firefly
Is it to late to apologize
My little firefly
You know I'll always steal your wings
If it just means that you'll stay with me tonight

We lie together now
We lie so still
I figure how
We can lay until
Your light burns brighter
Your light ignites
Me as a fighter
To protect you from night

You burn stronger
You light both of us
But the truth is I would do anything
Anything to feel your touch

My little firefly
Is it to late to apologize
My little firefly
You know I'll always steal your wings
If it just means that you'll stay with me tonight

Light up a room
Smile so bright
Eyes are open staring
At the one who gives me sight
No regrets here
No compromise
I'm holding on so tightly
To your burning light

My little firefly
Is it to late to apologize
My little firefly
You know I'll always steal your wings
If it just means that you'll stay with me tonight

Your song firefly, once again beats mine. Thanks for that.

I want to be able to hear the beat that you give these songs of yours. I feel that words are not the only this a song needs. give you songs life, give them rhthem. You have tallent for the words but you can't base a musical ambition on words alone, otherwise the faboulse song that you write will be nothing more than poems.
