We re-write our lives
on hopes and prayers
left for chance that one day
we will find the brightest star
and follow it straight on until
the mourning sun tomorrow.
We live for the belief that
we can find our way,
belief in the happily ever after
that each of us exist
to find a true heart that beats
in perfect time with our own.
Each day is another chance
to know we never give up
and we can never let go
of each memory and moment
etched into our soul making
us who we are but let us
move on knowing what we want.
moving forward one step by
another diffcult choice to decide
what it means to go after "IT"
and having the heart to bear it,
to keep faith an dtake courage
that we will find our way back
toward that road less travelled and
we will fight to keep strong
that second chance at survival.
Today,
we will write our lives in fine print
and this time
